First, make the Homemade “Canned” Biscuit recipe from an earlier post. You can even make a double batch. Split in half and use one portion of the dough for regular biscuits and reserve the other half for these CinnaBiscuits.
To make these CinnaBiscuits, pull your BROWN SUGAR and the CINNAMON out of the pantry. Keep them handy.
In the recipe, when you get to the point of rolling out the dough the first time, grab a handful of brown sugar and cover the dough from end to end. Shake out cinnamon across the dough, too.
Fold the dough in thirds (like a letter you’re going to put in an envelope) and roll it out again.
Cover the dough again with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Fold it in thirds and roll it out again.
Repeat this process ONE more time (for a total of 3 times).
After the third time of rolling it out, cut with a biscuit cutter and place in a well-greased pan (with sides of the biscuits touching).
Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
You won’t regret it. Once you get the hang of rolling out the dough these won’t take you any time at all to make…and your children will be SOOOOO happy you did!
