Here’s a few thoughts of mine for the day. I’m in a “tell it straight” kind of mood today. Life is way too short to be mopey and distant. So what if life isn’t going your way? Today is a new day! Live it! You may not be here tomorrow to do so.

Just as a reminder, God is in control…of E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. If you think you are in control you are sadly mistaken. It’s HIS will. HIS timing. HIS creation and HIS world. Deal with it and let the illusion of control go. Life gets must easier that way.

Realize in life that you have decisions to make. Sure, we’ll make mistakes. We’ll face consequences for bad choices and be rewarded for our good efforts and deeds. And even while we have choices, nothing is ever going to happen to you that is not under God’s control.

Life is beautiful. Sunsets, sunrises, majestic mountain peaks, quiet country roads that lead home, falling leaves, and beautiful flowers make this life entirely gorgeous. Cooing babies, ganache-covered chocolate cake, kisses from my husband, and hugs from my children – all of these things make life beautiful.

And, life sucks. Babies die. Men, women, and children are murdered every day by sinister people. Evil surrounds us everywhere. Parents grow older still and one day we face the reality that they are no longer with us in this world. Spouses cheat. Families split apart at the seams. Yeah…life just sucks. Life is not easy, but it happens.

Yet, in the midst of this crazy place, God put each of us here in His amazing creation (the world) and gave each of us a unique purpose. Perhaps you’ve found your purpose. Maybe you haven’t. The point is, while you’re still here you need to be seeking that purpose, discovering what it is that God wants you to do. Don’t fritter your life away with meaningless relationships, misdeeds, and ornery people.

  • Get up in the morning and be glad that you can.
  • Work.
  • Be honest.
  • Treat others with respect.
  • Mind your own business.
  • Help others, whether you know them or not.
  • Be nice.
  • Don’t fight and quit arguing.
  • Use the talents you’ve been gifted with (and don’t hand me bologne that you don’t have a gift or talent). If you don’t know what your gift is. GO FIND IT!
  • Quit whining.
  • Don’t have a job? Find something to do. CREATE a job. Start a business. (use your talent)
  • Turn off the TV.
  • Learn something new.
  • Don’t waste time (get off facebook and social media).
  • You have one life. Live it for God because once this life is gone, you’ll be either in heaven or hell. (Yes, they both exist).

Don’t know God? Better get busy and find someone who does who can talk to you about Him. Running with the wrong crowd and don’t know someone who knows Jesus? Email me (sangabrielfarm94@gmail.com). Let’s talk. And just because you know OF Him doesn’t mean you KNOW Him. Being good doesn’t get you past the pearly gates of heaven. Only a relationship with Jesus Chris does. So, get up off your buttocks and find Jesus. Stop letting pride and a misguided sense of what you “think” is right/wrong get in your way. There is ONLY one way and that’s through Jesus Christ.

There. My preaching is done for the day. What are you waiting for? Get up and GO LIVE!
