Our spring garden is quite small this year. I gave up my garden space here at the house so that James and Lauren could have a fenced-in yard for their dogs. I knew I wouldn’t really have a garden this year but Johnny and the kids bought me a few plants and essentials for a small container garden.
This year I’m growing mainly herbs: thyme, basil, oregano, Italian parsley, and peppermint. I have 2 jalapeno plants (so we can have bacon-wrapped poppers later this summer) and 3 tomato plants.
God willing I’ll get a few tomatoes this year. We’ve already harvested a bit of the herbs for spaghetti last night. Talk about tasty. Fresh herbs definitely lend a better flavor to a meal.
